This book explores the control of arthropod (tick and insect) vectors of several human diseases using small-scale technology of the kind that communities, especially in tropical developing countries, can manage for themselves with minimal outside input. Most of these examples are drawn from mosquito control, with a few from the control of tsetse, ticks, etc; the snail intermediate hosts of schistosomiasis are not here considered to be vectors are not discussed in this book
